BYE, BYE COUCH POTATO! SPORT IN YOUR DAILY ROUTINE.

By Valentina Eneo

How to get fitter? What makes you happy? or Are you at peace with your body?

Have you ever thought about these questions? I have often came across with this point, I struggle with my fitness routine, my motivation or my body. Let’s be hones, everyone knows this situation.

It’s true that integrating sports in your day, especially as a student, can be very hard. For this reason, I established helpful fips for my own sports routine. I’m sure they will also boost your sports career as well.

MOTIVATION MONDAY AND SET YOUR GOALS.

Set goals! If you know your ambition, it’s easier to implement sports in your daily routine. What are your realistic goal? Building up muscles? Losing weight? Keep your intention in mind, especially on the so-called Motivation Monday.

A new week, a new stat – Motivation Monday. To build a habit it is easier to start when your motivation is the best. Enter Motivation Monday. Every new week I set new goals and improve my motivation to reach my goal.

HAVE FUN! DO IT OUTSIDE!

If you don’t like running, you won’t do this for a long time. Find a sport you love! Which action motivates you to leave your couch? If you can’t come up with an idea, try something new.

Once a week you should train outside, search for some walking or hiking routes in your neighbourhood. Or go for a run, even you don’t like it, and beat your weaker self. This will reduce your stress level, improve your immune system and let you feel stronger.

FAILURE IS PART OF THE PLAN

Minor steps are essential, focus on small changes and do not be frustrated if one week is not as pleasant as the last one. Minor steps backwards are part of the plan.

On your journey you will have days when, you are tired, or demotivated. It’s okay to have these days. But motivate yourself to do some activity for “only 10 minutes”. It helps you to trigger good emotions you feel after doing sports. Trust me, you won’t do sports only for 10 minutes, it would be only your warmup.

To sum up it can be said that if you work out you have more motivation to achieve your goals, you boost your immune system, accept your body and you feel stronger. I hope you will keep in mind some tips and implement sport in your daily life. Let’s start and be active!
